This art book is interesting because it focuses exclusively on video game characters with this style, has much fanservice and good illustrations of the characters and images of the covers of the games, although I would have liked more information or details alluding to game art, as I mentioned at the beginning only has illustrations of characters and sketches at the end of the book.

Okay and what games are we talking? well the art book focuses on iconic characters of the saga and magna carta magna carta 2 whose games were for the ps2 and xbox360 respectively, the really interesting thing is that these pictures of Kim Hyung-Tae is a pillar between the design of the characters and that from them can capture details of personality, possibly because of the type of clothing and weapons that typically show but I can not deny that this artist loves to draw women and it shows heavily in this art book.

  • 175 pages (most in color)

  • Text is in English / Japanese (Although the book does not need it because only are illustrations)

  • The art book has a cover that is the one you see on the front of the post.

  • This is the third art book by Kim,  being the earlier of the earliest Magna Carta and this being the collection of these over other games in which he worked.

Magna Carta: The Phantom of Avalanche OST - Opening Theme

The characteristic attributes of his illustrations are various from the detail in the clothing to the type of structure has made; deformation of the characters is a peculiar way of dealing with certain aspects of the characters for show a lot more personality since the characters do not follow regular margins could be structured as a character (ie, not based on the normal bone structure ) and most of all for a particular feeling of each of his illustrations.

The detail of the illustrations of Hyung-Tae is very good to the extent that the details of the characters stand on their own, I think he has an obsession with women's breast and can be seen in the pictures below:

It is likely that his obsession with the female models is very strong since the pictures of men also have female features but this is only for the protagonists of the games  since the rest enjoy wider masculine, but I'm not complaining I like that more more women in this artbook (more if have glasses).

And if you were wondering where that's fanservice that both have spoken well I think it is obvious that you save it for last, and boy does it have good fanservice in the artbook I mentioned that I do not like what you put on your face to sell but with this artist's style and using suggestive that can reach, I think it's okay (whether I like seeing them as well).

And curiously has great art illustrations where they are much more complicated, since it is very detail oriented and sometimes has conflict to show what he wants because the focus of the entire drawing is very decentralized although this only occurs in a few illustrations and has a balance of many factors from fanservice to the main idea behind the illustration.
